Dartmouth lands QB transfer

Former University of Illinois quarterback Jimmy Fitzgerald is headed to Dartmouth, according to a story in the Champaign/Urbana News-Gazette

Fitzgerald told The News-Gazette on Thursday he plans to join the Big Green program in March, and will start classes in the fall. He left the Illinois program before the 2016 season and will have three years of athletic eligibility remaini

“When I decided I wanted to transfer, I knew I wanted to go to the Ivy League,” Fitzgerald told the News-Gazette. “I value education. It’s a definite priority. I wanted to go to a top academic institution.”
