Odd style produces titles

Pulaski Academy, the Arkansas school that rarely punts, never sends a player back to return a punt, always attempts a two-point conversion following a touchdown and usually attempts an onside kick rather than kick deep, won its third straight Class 5A championship by beating Wynne 55-16 earlier this month.

Pulaski’s unorthodox style has produced six state championships since 2003.

USA Today has named Pulaski Academy’s Kevin Kelley as its 2016 Coach of the Year.

Pulaski’s offense now includes several plays with multiple, rugby-style laterals.
