Shrine team offering fundraiser

The New Hampshire team in this year’s Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl has organized a cornhole tournament to raise money for the Shriners’ Hospitals, which have been serving children since 1922.

This will be a double-elimination tournament on July 20 (11 a.m.) at the Pelham American Legion Post 100. Teams will be picked at the event. There will be food and music and prizes for the top teams. The cost is $50 per person.

Those interested can pre-register by email: braycraft@comcast.net.

This year’s Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl will be played Aug. 3 at Castleton University (5:30 p.m.). Vermont trails the series against New Hampshire 47-16-2, but the Green Mountain State has won the last three games.
