The rosters have been announced for this year’s CHaD New Hampshire East-West All-Star Game, which will be played July 17 at St. Anselm College (1 p.m. kickoff).
Team East will be coached by Spaulding’s Keven Hebert and features 46 players from 19 schools located east of the Everett Turnpike/Interstate 93 dividing line. Seacoast powers Exeter and Winnacunnet and bordertown Salem lead the way with five selections each. Four players hail from Windham and two come from Division III champion Pelham.
Londonderry has three selections including Jake Naar, who died in a car crash last Friday. Naar’s family has chosen to fulfill his wishes of fundraising for the game. Team East will not replace Naar on the roster and will work with game organizers to honor his memory at the game.

Team West, which leads the series 5-3, will be led by Souhegan coach Robin Bowkett. His roster features players from 18 schools, the largest contingent of six coming from Division I runner-up Goffstown. Five players represent Division II champion Souhegan and four players from Hollis-Brookline and Bedford were also selected for the game, which raises money for Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.

The players and coaches will now meet up for a virtual orientation, a pandemic-related departure from the traditional tour and orientation held at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in previous years. The teams will learn about the game, how it benefits patients and families, and how they can support the cause with fundraising of their own. They will also get to sit down with their coaches in the virtual setting to discuss additional on-field details.
Players are not required to fundraise in order to play in the game, but they have generated over $535,000 since the game began. Last year’s teams raised $46,000 despite the pandemic, highlighted by Milford High School’s Colton Burrows.
Fans can donate to the players on their individual fundraising pages at www.CHaDAllStarFootball.org. Sponsorship packages are also available to businesses and organizations who wish to support the cause. Tickets and viewing options are still under discussion and will be announced at a later date.
