NEGD Welcomes Cameron Worster

“RUN TO THE BALL” DEFENSIVE CAMP

New England Gridiron Development’s 2023 “Run to the Ball” Defensive Camp will be held March 25 from 1-3 p.m. at the New Hampshire SportsDome’s Goffstown location: 10A Tower Lane, Goffstown, N.H.

This non-contact camp teaches universal skills used by all defensive positions, and is open to anyone in Grades 6-12 (Players will be grouped by age). Emphasis will be placed on fundamentals like ball leverage (angle and approach tacklers take to to the ball carrier, taking into account their role within the defensive play call), block destruction and proper tackling fundamentals — vital parts of the game that are often overlooked at camps and clinics. The camp is directed by former Bates assistant coach Skip Capone and a staff of current and former college coaches. It will help you become a better player before next season.

The cost is $59 per player. A portion of each registration fee will go toward insurance and the indoor facility rental fee. Those who attend should wear shorts, a t-shirt and football cleats (non-metal).

Visit the New England Gridiron Development Registration Page to reserve your spot. Questions about the camp or your registration can be sent to negridiron@gmail.com.

Paid/Registered Athletes: Wade Mitchell (Alton Central), Cameron Worcester (Portsmouth/Oyster River).
