Portsmouth/Oyster River ClipperCats

Portsmouth/Oyster River raised its Division I record to 3-0 by beating Dover, 24-22, Friday night.

After Dover pulled within two points with 3:45 to play, Portsmouth/Oyster River sealed the win when quarterback Aidan Thomas scrambled for a 34-yard gain on a third-and-seven play from the Dover 49.

The ClipperCats took a 24-14 lead when Angus Moss scored on a 4-yard run with 11:26 remaining in the fourth quarter. Portsmouth/Oyster River also received an 8-yard TD pass from Thomas to Cole McLaughlin, and a 22-yard field goal from Daniel Soler-Sala.

Portsmouth/Oyster River entered the game ranked No. 4 in the Union Leader Power Poll. Dover (1-1-1) was No. 6.

The ClipperCats will play at Manchester Memorial on Friday night.
