UNH releases Victory Club details

Logo-smallDURHAM – The University of New Hampshire Department of Athletics took a major step toward a new era when director of athletics Marty Scarano and head football coach Sean McDonnell on Wednesday night unveiled details about the Service Credit Union Victory Club that will be a centerpiece of the soon-to-open Wildcat Stadium.

Scarano and Jon Danos, senior associate athletics director for external affairs, also announced a variety of season ticket options for the new facility, designed to fit any budget. The stadium will be christened late this summer with UNH’s first football home game against Holy Cross on Sept. 10.

Access to season ticket packages will soon be offered to current season ticket holders.

“We’re honored to be able to give our season ticket holders the first opportunity to purchase seats in the new stadium in appreciation of their vital support over the years,” said Danos, who is spearheading the marketing campaign for the stadium. “In many cases that support has covered several years and even decades.”

Current season ticket holders will have the exclusive ability to purchase and put deposits on seats until April 1. Individuals who placed deposits last fall will then have an option to select their seat category. The public sale of season tickets will be announced at a later date.

The climate-controlled Victory Club will offer a college football experience unlike any other in New England. It features the best seats in the house with indoor/outdoor seating and extra wide and padded chairs, complete with chairbacks, and an all-you-can-buffet at every game.

Victory Club membership includes amenities such as premium parking closest to the stadium entrance, access to season ticket member-only benefits such as meet-the-team events and priority privileges for playoffs and other events held in the stadium.

Service Credit Union Victory Club memberships are priced at $500 plus a $500 donation per seat. There is a two-seat minimum in the Victory Club and they are sold for two or four-year terms.

Other season ticket options include Full Season Box Seats at $225 per seat that feature wide seats with arm rests and cup holders as well as parking and Full Season Reserved Seats at $175 per seat with discounted parking.

The UNH football team, under the guidance of head coach Sean McDonnell, has been one of the premier FCS programs in the country for more than a decade and in the fall will be looking to extend its best-in-the-nation string of appearances in the NCAA playoffs to a remarkable 13 straight seasons.

The Wildcats open the 2016 season with a game at San Diego State on Saturday, Sept. 3.

Wildcat Stadium debuts on Saturday, Sept. 10 with a game against New England rival Holy Cross in the first of five regular season home games.

Other home games on the schedule are on Saturday, Oct. 1 against William & Mary (Homecoming), on Saturday, Oct. 15 against James Madison (Family Weekend), Saturday, Oct. 29 against Stony Brook and Saturday, Nov. 12 against Albany.
