Offense shines in Blue/White game

DURHAM Quarterback Adam Riese passed for two touchdowns, sophomore running back Trevon Bryant ran for a pair of 1-yard scores and wide receiver Kyon Taylor caught eight passes for 100 yards to lead the offense in UNH’s annual Blue-White Spring game in Cowell Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Riese, who will be a senior in the fall, completed 21 of his 33 passes in the game for 263 yards.

Three Wildcat quarterbacks combined to complete 38 of their 61 passes for 408 yards and three scores. The offense did not turn the ball over in the game.

Riese is competing for the starting job at quarterback with sophomore Trevor Knight. Knight , who played at Nashua South, completed eight of his 17 passes for 76 yards and one touchdown. Redshirt freshman quarterback Ivan Niyomugabo completed nine of his 11 passes for 69 yards. Niyomugabo came to UNH from Merrimack Valley High School in Penacook.
