DeAndrade collects preseason honor

UNHlogoSenior cornerback Casey DeAndrade (East Bridgewater, Mass.) was voted to the CAA Football Preseason All-Conference Team, which was released Tuesday during CAA media day at M&T Bank Stadium.

DeAndrade was a CAA All-Conference First Team honoree at both cornerback and punt returner each of the past two years, and he was also named to last year’s Preseason All-Conference Team.

New Hampshire, which boasts the longest active NCAA postseason streak of 12 consecutive years, kicks off the 2016 season Sept. 3 (8:30 p.m. Eastern) at FBS representative San Diego State University.

DeAndrade was named to three All-America teams in 2015 after leading the Wildcats in both tackles (76) and pass breakups (10). He was also atop the team leaderboard in punt returns (20) and punt return yards (226), and that included a 90-yard TD return at nationally-ranked College of William & Mary. His 11.3-yard punt return average led the CAA and ranked No. 15 in the nation.
