Moments That Mattered
Most of the key moments in this contest involved Merrimack slot receiver Justin Weiser, who caught a 49-yard TD pass from quarterback Justin Grassini on Merrimack’s first offensive play; returned a kickoff 95 yards for a TD after Central scored to make it 20-7; tossed a 53-yard TD pass to Grassini in the third quarter; and caught a 43-yard TD pass from Alec Bronchuk with 1:55 left in the third.

“I told you about [Weiser] when you asked me about good players nobody has heard about,” Merrimack coach Kip Jackson said. “He had a phenomenal offseason. He really busted his tail, put on a lot of weight and he gained a lot of confidence. He’s ready to put himself in the forefront.”
