Tabor tops New Hampton

New Hampton had a rough day on offense and dropped to 2-2 following a 20-7 loss at Tabor Academy on Saturday.

New Hampton was held to 93 yards rushing and turned the ball over three times in the loss. The Huskies failed to convert on 12 of their 14 third downs, and were 0 for 2 on fourth down.

Tabor led 7-0 after one quarter, 13-7 at halftime and sealed the win with a fourth-quarter touchdown that followed a New Hampton fumble.

New Hampton’s TD came on a 3-yard run by Ian Gobbi. The TD, plus Javier Arrinda’s point-after kick, sliced Tabor’s lead to 13-7.

New Hampton quarterback Jake Dulac completed 7 of 21 passes for 81 yards. Mike Donnelly led the ground attack with 66 yards on 12 carries, and Marcus Peterson caught four passes for 55 yards.

Gobbi recorded a team-high 12 tackles. Troy Shallow had 11 tackles, and Matt Narewski made 10 stops.

New Hampton will play at Holderness on Saturday (2 p.m.).
