The top 10 high school football teams in New Hampshire, voted by the staffs of the New Hampshire Union Leader and ESPN New Hampshire, with record, first-place votes/points in parentheses, plus last week’s ranking:

1. Bedford, 8-0 (6/69), 1st

The Bulldogs remain the only unbeaten team in Division I, and are trying to go wire to wire at No. 1.

2. Merrimack, 7-1 (1/63), 2nd

The Tomahawks have secured the No. 2 seed in Division I North/South.

3. Goffstown, 7-1 (50), 3rd

Goffstown and Merrimack will play in back-to-back weeks.

4. Exeter, 7-1 (49), 5th

Exeter will be the No. 1 seed in Division I East/West, and will play either Dover or Nashua South in the quarterfinals.

5. Windham, 8-0 (45), T-4th

The Jaguars have dominated Division II competition.

6. Salem, 6-2 (32), 6th

Salem’s loss to Goffstown dropped Salem to the No. 4 seed. Salem and Bedford will meet in each of the next two weeks.

7. Bishop Guertin, 6-2 (23), T-7th

BG gave Exeter trouble, and can finish first in Division I West by beating Nashua North on Friday night.

8. Dover, 6-2 (21), T-9th

Dover’s 30-14 victory over Winnacunnet on Monday gave the Green Wave six wins in its last seven games. Dover must beat Nashua South to qualify for the Division I playoffs.

9. Nashua North, 6-2 (14), T-9th

The Titans have already clinched a playoff berth, but can win Division I West by beating BG.

T-10. Bow, 7-1 (5), NR

The Falcons break into the poll after an upset victory over John Stark.

T-10. Hanover, 8-0 (5), NR

The Marauders are one of four unbeaten teams in the state.

Also receiving votes: Nashua South, 5-3 (4), NR; Monadnock, 7-0 (3), NR; John Stark, 7-1 (1), T-7th; St. Thomas, 6-2 (1), NR.
