Tilton runs past New Hampton

Darian Davis ran for 281 yards and five touchdowns on 26 carries to lead Tilton to a 49-39 victory over New Hampton on Saturday. Davis also returned a punt 97 yards for a TD.

Tilton ran for 439 yards in the victory, and took advantage of five New Hampton turnovers (three fumbles).

New Hampton trailed 21-7 at halftime and 34-14 after three quarters, but was within seven points after quarterback Jake Dulac scored on a 41-yard run and Javier Arrinda added the point-after kick in the fourth. That’s as close as the Huskies would get, however.

Tilton improved its record to 8-0 with the victory. New Hampton dropped to 5-3.

New Hampton’s other touchdowns came on Nick Healey’s 7-yard TD reception, Jack Daley’s 1-yard run, a 54-yard pass from Dulac to Matt Narewski and Nick Spaulding’s 1-yard run. Spaulding led New Hampton with 112 yards rushing on 12 carries. Dulac added 89 yards on 18 rushing attempts.

New Hampton had 295 yards in penalties.
