Winnacunnet will compete for NE title

Winnacunnet High School is one of 10 teams that will compete in Thursday’s 2017 Under Armour Northeast 7-on-7 New England Championships at Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody, Mass. The event is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.

Winnacunnet qualified by being named champion of the tournament’s North Regional at Exeter High School. The other teams in the field:

Stoughton, Mass. (South Finalist)
Billerica, Mass. (East Champion)
Lynn English, Mass (East Finalist)
Bonny Eagle, Maine (Wildcard)
BB&N, Mass. (Wildcard)
Dennis-Yarmouth, Mass (Wildcard)
Woburn, Mass. (Wildcard)
Swampscott, Mass. (Wildcard)

Winnacunnet’s bracket includes Middleboro, Lynn English, Dennis-Yarmouth and Woburn.
