STEVENS

Coach: Paul Silva (seventh season).
Division/Conference: Division III North.
2016 Record: 9-2 (won Division III championship).
Returning Starters on Defense: (4).
Returning Starters on Offense: (4).
Key Returnees: Joe Desilets OL/LB, Brendan Bean OL/DL, Aidan Cahill OL/DL, Nick Stone OL/DL, Alex DeVre RB/LB, Quentin Bicknell QB/LB, Derrick Stanhope WR/DB, Keaghan McAllister RB/LB, Phil Mason OL/DL.
Season Opener: Sept. 2 at Mascoma.
Coach’s Comment: “Our line, on both sides of the ball, will need to be our strength, as we are relatively inexperienced at the so called skill positions. We have some younger players who got some varsity experience last year and hopefully they can build off of that in a more prominent role this year. I have been very pleased with the numbers in our off-season program. The kids are working hard on conditioning and in the weight room. Our goal, as always, is to try and get into the playoffs. If you can do that, you have a chance. That being said, there are so many outstanding teams that are so well coached in our conference and throughout Division III. You better be well-prepared each and every week if you want to have a chance to win.”
