KEARSARGE
Coach: Zach Matthews (7th season).
Division/Conference: Division III North.
2016 Record: 5-3 (lost in Division III quarterfinals).
Returning Starters on Defense: (7).
Returning Starters on Offense: (7).
Key Returnees: Noah Tucker (LB/FB), Ryan Ellis (LB/G), Kyle Hernon (TE/LB), Emerson Tyler (RB/DB), Gavyn Magistro (QB/LB).
Season opener: Sept. 1 vs. Newport (7 p.m.)
Coach’s Comment: “I really like the group we have coming back. We were very young at a lot of positions last fall and finished the season strong. We are hoping to take the next step this season and get back into the playoff race. It will not be easy to replace the production of D3 MVP Justin Norris. We will have a bunch of guys competing for carries and playing time, which is always a good thing. ”
