Spaulding Red Raiders

Spaulding put an end to the program’s 28-game losing streak by overcoming an early 14-point deficit to beat Manchester Memorial 42-28 Friday night in Rochester.

Running back Jon Speltz rushed for 211 yards and scored on a 48-yard run after Memorial cut its deficit to 34-28 midway through the fourth quarter. Tyler Dickinson scored three touchdowns for the Red Raiders, one rushing and two receiving.

Spaulding quarterback Noah Lapointe was intercepted twice, but passed for 365 yards and two touchdowns. Spaulding (1-6) benefited from four Memorial turnovers.

It was Spaulding’s first victory since it beat Dover during the 2014 season.
