Knight earns CAA award

RICHMOND, Va. – University of New Hampshire junior quarterback Trevor Knight was named the CAA Football Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Knight completed 25 of 35 passes for 406 yards and a career-high four touchdowns in UNH’s 35-16 victory at College of William & Mary on Saturday. The Wildcats finished with 511 yards of total offense and won at Zable Stadium for the first time since 1998.

It was the second career 400-yard effort for Knight, who threw the TDs to four receivers and moved into 10^th place on UNH’s career passing list (4,285 yards).

Knight led the Wildcats to touchdown drives of 75, 99 and 90 yards on their first three possessions of the game to propel UNH to a 21-7 lead midway through the second quarter. At that point, he completed 10 of 13 passes for 207 yards and also had one rush for 12 yards.

On the national leaderboard, Knight is in the top 20 in seven statistics, including No. 10 in passing touchdowns (22). He also ranks 11^th in passing yards per game (271.9), 12^th in points responsible for (144), 13^th in passing yards (2,447) and points responsible for per game (16.0), 14^th in total offense (290.2 yards/game) and 16^th in completions per game (21.0).
