Pinkerton earns playoff berth

Here’s what we learned Friday night: 

  • The Division I playoff pairings are set (unofficial):

NORTH/WEST
No. 4 Goffstown at No. 1 Bedford
No. 3 Nashua North at No. 2 Merrimack

SOUTH/EAST
No. 4 Pinkerton at No. 1 Londonderry
No. 3 Salem at No. 2 Winnacunnet

Note: Nashua South’s 77-52 victory over Central eliminated the Little Green, and earned Goffstown the No. 4 seed in the North/West bracket.

  • Plymouth (9-0) will be the No. 1 seed in Division II.
  • Souhegan (6-3) earned a playoff berth by beating Bow, 39-21.
  • Kingswood coach Justin Leonard resigned following Kingswood’s 46-27 loss to Kennett.
  • Alvirne (7-2) earned the first home playoff game in the program’s history with a 36-35 victory over Milford.
  • Monadnock (9-0) secured the No. 1 seed in Division III by beating Kearsarge, 38-0.
