Raymond vs. Winnisquam

When and where: Saturday (2 p.m.) in Tilton.
Team records: Top-seeded Winnisquam is 7-0. Fourth-seeded Raymond is 3-4.
Regular-season result: Winnisquam won 39-0 in Tilton.
Noteworthy: The Bears had no trouble during the regular-season matchup between these teams. Winnisquam scored 26 points in the first half and led 39-0 after three quarters. The Bears had 404 yards of offense, including 303 yards on the ground. … Raymond ended a three-game losing streak and earned the No. 4 seed by beating Mascoma 22-18 last weekend. The Rams went 0-3 against other Division IV playoff teams during the regular season. … Winnisquam fullback Angelo Glover ran for 122 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries during the regular-season meeting. Quarterback Phil Nichols rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns on five carries, and completed 4 of 10 passes for 101 yards and a TD. … Winnisquam is one of four unbeaten teams in the state, joining Bedford (Division I), Plymouth (Division II) and Monadnock (Division III). … The winner will face either third-seeded Franklin or second-seeded Newfound in next Saturday’s championship game at Laconia High School.

Franklin vs. Newfound

When and where: Saturday (1 p.m.) in Bristol.
Team records: Third-seeded Franklin is 5-2. Fourth-seeded Newfound is 6-1.
Regular-season result: Newfound won 18-0 in Franklin.
Noteworthy: Franklin’s 18-0 loss to Newfound earlier this season doesn’t look so bad when you consider the Golden Tornadoes turned the ball over nine times in the game (six interceptions). Each of Franklin six first-half possessions ended with a turnover. … Newfound received 123 yards rushing on 23 carries from running back Tiellar Mitchell in the first meeting. Newfound’s Brett Pidgeon scored two touchdowns in that game. Pidgeon scored on a 16-yard run, and on a 20-yard pass from Logan Rouille. It was Newfound’s only completed pass in the win.  The Bears also received a 3-yard touchdown run from fullback Shawn Huckins. … Franklin enters the playoffs having been shut out in each of its last two games (Newfound and Winnisquam). … Kainan Clark led the Golden Tornadoes with 99 yards rushing on 17 carries in the first game against Newfound.
