Trinity Pioneers

Trinity, last year’s Division III champion, opened its 2020 season by knocking off Concord, a Division I program, 22-7 on Friday night.

Senior quarterback Peter Alisandro accounted for all of Trinity’s scoring. He rushed for two touchdowns and a two-point conversion in the first half, and returned an interception 95 yards for a TD that made it 22-0 in the third quarter. Alisandro rushed for 144 yards in the victory.

It was the first time Trinity beat a Division I opponent since 2013, when the Pioneers knocked off Manchester Central 52-8 on Thanksgiving.
