Leg injury sidelines Long

Rookie tight end Hunter Long, a third-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins in this year’s NFL Draft, was carted off the field during Sunday’s practice after suffering a leg injury.

The severity was not immediately known, but Long, an Exeter High School graduate, reportedly had difficulty putting weight on the leg after catching a pass.

Long was selected out of Boston College with the 81st overall pick. He appeared in 36 games for BC and finished with 89 receptions for 1,297 yards (14.6 average) and nine touchdowns.
