WEEK 1
Colby Bost (Epping/Newmarket)
• Bost, a senior QB, completed 3 of 8 passes for 124 yards to help Epping-Newmarket defeat Bishop Brady 40-10. All three of his completions were TD passes.
Josh Compoh (Nashua South)
• Compoh, a senior tailback, gained 105 yards and rushed for two touchdowns on 14 carries against Salem. He also returned a kickoff 80 yards for a TD, and caught two passes for 33 yards.
Brett Davis (Dover)
• Davis, a running back/defensive back, had eight tackles, an interception and three pass break-ups in Dover’s victory against Manchester Memorial. He also added 50 yards rushing, 20 yards receiving and a 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
James Dross (Epping-Newmarket)
• Dross had two catches for 95 yards and two touchdowns in Epping-Newmarket’s 40-10 win against Bishop Brady.
Roman Farnsworth (Mascoma)
• Farnsworth rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns to highlight Mascoma’s 42-0 triumph over Newfound. One of his TDs came on a 97-yard run. He also caught a 20-yard touchdown pass.
Zach Fredericks (Winnacunnet)
• Fredericks, a senior tight end/defensive end, had three receptions for 52 yards, a two-point conversion catch and recorded three sacks in Winnacunnet’s 30-13 victory over Bedford.
Tony Garrant (Souhegan)
• Garrant, a senior wide receiver/linebacker, caught six passes for 138 yards and three TDs to help Souhegan defeat Kennett. He also recorded seven tackles.
Scott Hershberger (Campbell)
• Hershberger, a freshman, rushed for 91 yards and two TDs in his varsity debut to help Campbell defeat Kearsarge 28-20. Hershberger scored the go-ahead TD with .3 on the clock.
Romy Jain (Souhegan)
• Jain, a freshman quarterback, completed 18 of 33 passes for 319 yards and five touchdowns in Souhegan’s 37-0 victory over Kennett. He also ran for a TD in the win.
Michael Kitto (Gilford/Belmont)
• Kitto was Gilford/Belmont’s leading tackler during its 21-20 triumph over Sanborn. Trailing 20-13, Kitto caught a 48-yard pass to set up his team’s final touchdown, which he scored on a 1-yard run. Kitto then ran in the two-point conversion to give Gilford/Belmont the lead.
Calvin Lambert (Somersworth)
• Lambert ran for 127 yards and a touchdown in Somersworth’s 24-7 loss to Newport. His TD came on a 58-yard run. He also had eight tackles, including three tackles for loss.
Darian Lopez-Sullivan (Dover)
• Lopez-Sullivan, a senior quarterback/defensive back, passed for 70 yards, ran for 110 yards and three TDs (4, 40 and 1 yard), recorded four tackles, forced a fumble and broke up a pass in Dover’s 40-6 win against Manchester Memorial.
Aidan McDonald (Salem)
• McDonald, a senior running back, ran for 243 yards and five touchdowns in Salem’s 62-36 victory over Nashua South.
Cam Nice (Epping/Newmarket)
• Nice carried the ball 15 times for 159 yards and a TD in Epping/Newmarket’s 40-10 win against Bishop Brady.
Offense (Exeter)
• The Blue Hawks ran for 385 yards in their 37-14 victory over Goffstown. Senior halfback Jake Wiberg rushed for a team-high 110 yards and a TD on 10 carries.
Offensive Line (Plymouth)
• The Bobcats up front — senior guard Eddie Camp, senior tackle Tyler Stokowski, senior guard Jeff Lyford, junior center Caden Sanborn, junior tackle Jaivon Cadore and senior tight end Brock Tanner — paved the way as seven Plymouth running backs rushed for 337 yards on 40 carries (8.43 ypc) in a 48-7 win against Pembroke Academy.
Andew Porter (Alvirne)
• Porter, a tight end/defensive end, caught five passes for 75 yards, recorded 13 tackles (inlcuding a strip sack) in Alvirne’s 25-13 loss to Nashua North.
Dan Post (Timberlane)
• Post ran for 127 yards and three touchdowns during Timberlane’s 43-0 Division II victory over St. Thomas.
Michael Rutstein (Nashua South)
• Rutstein, a senior quarterback, rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown on seven carries during South’s loss to Salem.
Jean-Marc Thelusma (Somersworth)
• Thelusma had an intercetion, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble during Somersworth’s 24-7 loss to Newport.
Kyle Tilley (Winnacunnet)
• Tilley, a senior quarterback, rushed for a touchdown, and completed 4 of 5 passes, including a TD pass, to help Winnacunnet defeat Bedford 30-13.
Aidan Washington (Londonderry)
• Washington completed each of his five pass attempts for 116 yards and two two touchdown, and also rushed for two TDs to help Londonderry defeat Merrimack, 35-6.
