CCC honors Twardosky

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott sophomore Zachariah Twardosky, a Merrimack resident, was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Rookie of the Week for his performance in Saturday’s 27-14 victory over St. Lawrence.
Twardosky, a strong safety who played at Merrimack High School, recorded five tackles (three solo, two assisted) during the win. One of those stops was a strip sack that led to the game’s opening score. Twardosky also had a game-high three pass breakups.
In addition, sophomore Shane Aylward was named the CCC Offensive Rookie of the Week after he made catches for 47 yards and scored a touchdown (10 yards) against St. Lawrence.
