Athlon starts UNH at No. 8

The Athlon Sports College Football Preview Annual has the University of New Hampshire ranked No. 8 in the country in its FCS Top 25.

UNH went 9-4 overall and 7-1 in the Colonial Athletic Conference last season, when it advanced to the second round of the FCS playoffs. William & Mary (No. 4) is the only CAA team ranked higher than UNH.

The UNH write up:

“After posting a six-win improvement last season, the Wildcats seek a deep playoff run behing three first team All-CAA selections — Dylan Laube, the FCS lead in all-purpose yards (194 per game), and defensive ends Dylan Ruiz and Josiah Silver. Quarterback Max Brosmer is a third-year starter.”

Laube and Silver are both on Athlon’s preseason All-America Team.

Dartmouth was not ranked in the Top 25.
