Exeter, Salem remain unbeaten

EXETER 31, SPAULDING 6

Converted lineman Daniel Batstone ran for 70 yards and a touchdown on six carries to help Exeter High School defeat Spaulding 31-6 Thursday night in Rochester.

The victory raised Exeter’s Division I record to 3-0. Spaulding dropped to 0-3.

Exeter quarterback Jack Bove finished the game with 58 yards rushing and a TD on seven carries.

Charlie Dulac (1-yard run) and Evan Delorie (3-yard run) scored Exeter’s other touchdowns. The Blue Hawks also received 30-yard field goal from Dylan Drunsic on the final play of the first half.

Spaulding trailed 24-0 until quarterback Kaiden Melendez tossed a 3-yard TD pass to Seth Cortina 14 seconds into the fourth quarter.

SALEM 28, CONCORD 14

Salem High School scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to post a come-from-behind 28-14 victory over Concord on Thursday night at Concord’s Memorial Field

Salem received an 18-yard TD run from halfback Kevin Todisco with 7:13 to play and a 3-yard TD run from running back Talen Walton with 1:18 left. The Blue Devils were successful on the two-point conversion attempt following each fourth-quarter TD.

Salem improved to 3-0 in Division I with the win. Concord dropped to 1-2 overall, and 0-2 against NHIAA opponents.

Concord led 14-6 at halftime, but Salem quarterback Nolan Lumley scored on a 1-yard run with 2:30 left in the third quarter to pull the Blue Devils within two points. The two-point conversion failed.

Quarterback Colby Nyhan scored both Concord touchdowns in the first half. Each TD came on a QB sneak from a yard away. His second TD came with five seconds remaining in the half.

Salem running back Felix Gonzalez opened the scoring with a 9-yard run in the first quarter.

Concord running back Elia Bahuma sustained a knee injury in the second quarter and didn’t play in the second half.
