Saint Anselm earns first win

MANCHESTER – Fifth year captain Vincent Wagner (Staten Island, N.Y.) and junior Bowen Lewis (Austin, Texas) each rushed for more than 100 yards and the defense came up with five turnovers to help the Saint Anselm College football team defeat American International College 24-14 in its Northeast-10 Conference opener Saturday.

BRIDGEWATER – Junior quarterback Braden Lynn (Littleton, Mass.) scrambled for a 36-yard touchdown run and graduate student Jake Donahue (Hudson, N.H.) made a pair of outstanding catches, but a high-powered Bridgewater State University offense was too strong for Plymouth State University in a 41-19 setback at Mazzaferro Field on Saturday afternoon.
