PLYMOUTH – Juniors Willie Lombard (Bridgewater, Mass.) and Evan Wilson (Derry, N.H.) were honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) with inclusion on the Weekly Honor Roll on Monday following strong performances in Panthers’ Homecoming setback on Saturday.
Lombard compiled 260 all-purpose yards and scored both Plymouth State touchdowns in a 24-14 setback to Framingham State on Saturday. Lombard turned a pair of short passes into 20-yard and 30-yard touchdowns, finishing the day with 60 receiving yards, 48 rushing yards and 152 kickoff return yards. He racked up 54 yards after the catch and now leads the MASCAC with 194.5 all-purpose yards per game.
Wilson was all over the field for the PSU defense for a game-high 14 tackles. His seven solo stops were tied for a game high, while he added three tackles for a loss, a quarterback hurry and a pass breakup to his stat line. Wilson’s 43 total tackles rank second in the MASCAC, while he sits in the top four in the league in solo tackles, tackles per game and tackles for a loss.
Plymouth State continues conference play on Saturday (Oct. 7) when the Panthers visit Western Connecticut State for a 4 p.m. clash with the Wolves.
