Ramshaw named All-American

DURHAM – University of New Hampshire tight end Colby Ramshaw was named to the FCS Football Central 2023 Freshman All-American Team on Monday.

Ramshaw is one of two tight ends and a total of 49 players from 43 schools recognized as the best freshmen at the FCS level.

Ramshaw played in all 11 games with three starts – at nationally-ranked University of Delaware, at Stony Brook University and at Monmouth University. He caught 11 passes for 77 yards and four touchdowns, which ranked third on the team.

Ramshaw’s first career reception was for a 2-yard touchdown in the season opener at Stonehill College. He had a high of two catches in a game three times, including back-to-back games against UAlbany and Stony Brook; he also had a TD reception both those games. He recorded a long reception of 13 yards at Central Michigan University and again vs. Towson University.

The Bluebloods has partnered with Sports Illustrated/Fan Nation to form FCS Football Central.

New Hampshire defeated the University of Maine, 44-25, in the Nov. 18 regular-season finale at Wildcat Stadium to retain the Brice-Cowell Musket and finish the year at 6-5 overall and 4-4 in the CAA.
