NHFR Team of the Week: Memorial

NHFR TEAM OF THE WEEK
Manchester Memorial Crusaders

High school football is a 48-minute game, and Manchester Memorial needed every second to earn a 21-19 victory against Dover on Friday night.

Dover (0-2) built a 19-13 lead thanks to a pair of touchdown passes by quarterback Cooper Gagne. A safety left Memorial trailing 19-14 with 1:03 to play.

Memorial’s final possession began on its own 45-yard line. The Crusaders ran 10 plays, including a 2-yard touchdown run by quarterback Collin Beaulieu as time expired.

Beaulieau, who had a 10-yard TD run in the first half, also produced a key first down when he gained 9 yards on a fourth-and-three play from the Dover 11 with nine seconds left.

Running back Mo Olanweraju scored Memorial’s other TD on an 11-yard run. He rushed for 84 yards on 16 carries.

The victory improved Memorial’s record to 1-1 overall, but 1-0 against NHIAA opponents.
