NHFR Team of the Week: Windham

NHFR TEAM OF THE WEEK
Windham Jaguars

Windham moved into the No. 7 spot in the Union Leader Power Poll after improving to 2-2 overall (2-1 NHIAA) with a 14-12 victory over previously unbeaten Alvirne on Friday night.

The Jaguars recorded a safety, received an 84-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kevin Murphy to Cameron Williams and also scored on Chris Brearley’s 47-yard TD run.

It was Windham’s 13th annual Project Blackout Game, which helps raise awareness for those in the community affected by pediatric cancer.

Alvirne quarterback Charlie Crawford ran for a TD and tossed a 19-yard touchdown pass to tight end Ryan Rocheleau, but the Broncos fell to 3-1.

Brearley’s TD gave Windham a 14-6 lead. Crawford’s TD pass to Rocheleau made it a 14-12 game with 2:42 remaining, but the pass on the two-point conversion was incomplete.

The Jaguars recovered the onside kick and ran out the clock.
