NHFR Team of the Week: West

Manchester West scored on the last play of the game and secured a Division II playoff berth by beating Hanover, 20-17, Friday night.

West’s final drive began on its own 25-yard line with 55 seconds to play, and ended on a 20-yard touchdown pass from Gio Doria to Terrance Bovill as time expired. The loss knocked Hanover out of playoff contention.

Doria completed 9-of-18 passes for 223 yards and three TDs in the win. KeShawn Foster caught two passes for 115 yards and two TDs and ran for 34 yards on four carries.

Seventh-seeded West (6-3) will play at second-seeded Pelham (8-1) in the Division II quarterfinals Friday night.

This is West’s first playoff appearance since the 2007 season.
