No. 8: Bishop Guertin 43, Nashua North 42

This was an unusual game for many reasons, including the number of points scored and the fact that it was the first game played at the Nashua North campus. Stellos Stadium was closed two days earlier because of an unsafe playing surface.

The game was filled with big plays. The Titans led 42-28 with just over six minutes remaining, but the Cardinals rallied and took the lead for good on a  16-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Nate Bowen to Cole Reeves with 19 seconds to play. Bowen completed 33-of-54 passes for 456 yards and four TDs

Luke Peters (15 carries, 134 yards) scored four touchdowns for North, which also scored on a fumble return and a kickoff return.

North had a 42-28 advantage after Peters scored his fourth TD with 6:05 left. BG’s final surge began when Reeves scored on a 4-yard run with 3:17 left. Next came a safety when North QB John Canaway was sacked in the end zone by Jonah Feliciano with 1:39 on the clock. BG ran 10 plays in 1:20 on hits final drive, which was capped by the TD pass from Bowen to Reeves.

Bowen also tossed a 64-yard TD pass to Ryan Connelly, a 60-yard TD pass to Reeves and a 17-yard TD pass to Sam Fayad.
