Merrimack rallied from a 28-7 deficit and was within a point after 2-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Sahil Mujawar to Josh Ozog with six seconds to play. The Tomahawks opted to go for a two-point conversion and the win, but Reid Lambert sacked Mujawar to seal a 28-27 victory at Merrimack’s Student Memorial Field.

Mujawar completed 30 of 51 passes for 365 yards and four touchdowns in the win. He was intercepted once.

It was a 7-7 game, but the Jaguars scored the next three TDs – a 1-yard run by Jack Koutrobis, a 43-yard run by Michael Brearley, and a 23-yard jaunt by Koutrobis with 2:11 left in the half.

The Tomahawks cut into their deficit when Mujawar tossed a 9-yard scoring pass to Ozog with 22 seconds remaining in the second quarter to make it a 28-14 game at halftime.

Windham fumbled the ball away twice in the final two quarters, but still had a 14-point edge in the fourth. Things got interesting when Mujawar connected with Cayden Dine for a 32-yard TD with 6:04 to play. Dine’s PAT made it 28-21.

After Windham missed a field goal attempt Merrimack drove 82 yards in 11 plays, the last of which was Mujawar’s 2-yard TD pass to Ozog.

Then Lambert turned in the game’s biggest play to secure Windham’s one-point road victory.
