After Plymouth fullback Robbie Thorne scored his third touchdown of the game by finding the end zone from a yard away in overtime, the Bobcats stopped Souhegan’s Brayden Hickman at the 3-yard line after he gained 17 yards on a fourth-down reception to seal a 28-21 victory in Amherst.

Plymouth linebacker Eli Crane blitzed on second down in overtime to sack Souhegan quarterback Michael Fiengo for a 9-yard loss that pushed the Sabers back to the 20-yard line in overtime.

Fiengo erased a 14-0 deficit by engineering a 12-play drive at the end of the first half that included a 28-yard pass to Ayden McGrath on fourth-and-5, and then found Rylan Raudelunas (five catches, 105 yards) on the next play with 43 seconds left. His 78-yard touchdown pass to McGrath (four catches, 120 yards) helped tie the game at 14-14 with 5:30 left in the third quarter.

Souhegan trailed 21-14 and had no timeouts when it took possession with 1:50 left in regulation. Fiengo completed all four of his passes, including a 42-yarder to Raudelanas. Fiengo found Raudelanas two plays later from 8 yards out for his third touchdown pass that allowed the Sabers to tie the game at 21-21.

Fiengo completed 21 of 30 passes for 323 yards with an interception.
