The Vermont and New Hampshire Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl teams reported to Vermont State-Castleton University on Sunday. This year’s game will be be played Saturday (11:30 a.m.) on the school’s campus … Concord coach Jim Corkum is New Hampshire’s head coach. Bob Lockerby of Bellows Falls is coaching the Vermont team. … Corkum said New Hampshire held its first practice after the team checked in Sunday. “We had install sessions in July once a week in Concord,” he said. “The players are familiar with our base stuff. You can’t have too extreme of a playbook for a game like this. It’s what do the kids know?” … Corkum, who played at Concord High School, represented New Hampshire in the 2003 Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl.
