Franklin Pierce 35, Bentley 21

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Franklin Pierce University football team made history on Saturday afternoon, earning its first victory over Bentley University with a dominant 35-21 win at Peter Yetten Field. The victory snaps a five-game skid against the Falcons and earns the Ravens their first win in 2025 NE10 play.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Franklin Pierce wasted no time setting the tone. On the third play from scrimmage, QB Adrian Parker (Manchester, Conn.) connected with Connor Marchi (Somers, Conn.) for a 78-yard touchdown to put the Ravens ahead 7-0 with 12:08 remaining in the first quarter.
  • Less than four minutes later, Parker capped a short 17-yard drive with a 1-yard rushing touchdown to double the lead. The Ravens capitalized again after a Bentley miscue on the ensuing possession, as Reimello Hyde (Nashua, N.H.) punched in a 2-yard score to make it 21-0 with 7:58 still to play in the opening quarter.
  • Bentley broke through late in the second quarter on a 6-yard touchdown pass from Luke Warnock to Rashon Bradford, but Franklin Pierce answered in the closing seconds of the half. Parker found Alex Benitez (Belle Meade, N.J.) for a 13-yard touchdown, sending the Ravens into the locker room with a 28-7 lead.
  • Franklin Pierce mounted its longest drive of the day to open the third quarter, chewing nearly eight minutes off the clock with a 14-play, 76-yard march that ended with another Parker-to-Benitez connection from six yards out.
  • Bentley mounted a rally with back-to-back scores in the third and fourth quarters — including a 12-play, 76-yard drive capped by a Telly Edouard rushing touchdown — but the Ravens’ early offensive explosion proved too much to overcome, sealing the historic 35-21 victory.

INSIDE THE LINES: 

  • Quarterback Adrian Parker led the way for the Ravens, completing 18 of 30 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for a one-yard score.
  • Reimello Hyde powered the ground attack with 25 carries for 136 yards and a touchdown.
  • Through the air, Alex Benitez hauled in four receptions for 45 yards and two touchdowns, and Connor Marchi provided the early spark with a 78-yard touchdown grab as part of his 80-yard day.
  • Defensively, the Ravens recorded three sacks, with John Gogliettino, Tsi Fofang, and John Furno each notching one, while Zahkeer Kerr and Nate Kearney both added interceptions.
  • As a unit, Franklin Pierce limited Bentley to 39 rushing yards on 26 attempts.

UP NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: Franklin Pierce returns home to Sodexo Field next Saturday to take on Assumption University. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
