Crowther earns Ivy honor

HANOVER — Dartmouth running back D.J. Crowther was honored for his career performance on Saturday by earning Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday.

Crowther, a senior, finished with 143 yards on 20 carries, and three touchdowns, all three shattering his previous career highs. He also had three catches for 32 yards, finishing with 175 yards from scrimmage as part of the Big Green’s 27-20 win over No. 25/23 New Hampshire.

Crowther had rushing scores of 4, 16 and 33 yards, coming in the second, third and fourth quarters. His three rushing touchdowns marked the most by a Dartmouth running back since Ryder Stone had three against Brown on November 15, 2014. Dartmouth’s win marked its first against a nationally-ranked opponent since its last win over UNH; the Big Green beat No. 23 New Hampshire 38-21 on Oct. 16, 2021.

Crowther and the Big Green return to action on Saturday at CCSU for a noon opening kickoff.
