Hollis-Brookline Cavaliers

Hollis-Brookline ended the program’s 27-game losing streak by earning a 21-6 victory at John Stark on Friday night.
Quarterback Stevie Nieble ran for 129 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries, and completed 9-of-15 passes for 89 yards in the win, which raised Hollis-Brookline’s Division II record to 1-4. Cole Duncan caught eight passes for 80 yards and returned an interception 20 yards for a TD.
The Cavaliers were limited to eight points in their first four games this season.
It was the first victory for Patrick Gendron, who is in his first season as Hollis-Brookline’s head coach. The Cavaliers will be seeking back-to-back victories when they play ConVal (1-4) at home Friday night.
