UNH releases 2026 schedule

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of New Hampshire football schedule for the 2026 season, which includes six home games and a trip to Syracuse University, was announced Tuesday in conjunction with the release of the 2026 CAA Football schedule.

UNH kicks off the 2026 season in Week 0 with a conference game at UAlbany on Friday, Aug. 28 ,and then the Wildcats travel to Syracuse on Sept. 5.

The home opener is Sept. 12 against Stonehill College and Homecoming is scheduled for Oct. 3 vs. Elon University.

New Hampshire kicks off the 2026 season with a CAA Football conference game at UAlbany on Aug. 28. The previous time the Wildcats played a conference season opener was in 2022, when UNH defeated Monmouth University at Wildcat Stadium.

The Wildcats and Stonehill Skyhawks clash for the third time in four years for UNH’s home opener Sept. 12. UNH and Harvard square off for only the ninth time in program history Sept. 19 when the Crimson visit Durham for the first time ever; the 2024 matchup was the first between these programs since 1939.

New Hampshire and Sacred Heart meet for the first time on the gridiron when the Wildcats travel for a Sept. 26 game.

Homecoming is Oct. 3 against Elon. The Wildcats face another new opponent when they go to N.C. A&T on Oct. 10, and then the Wildcats are home Oct. 17 to take on Monmouth University.

UNH’s shortest road trip of the year is Oct. 24 at Merrimack College, which is the fourth new school on the 2026 schedule.

Following a bye week, the Wildcats play host to the University of Rhode Island (Nov. 7) and Stony Brook University (Nov. 14) in back-to-back weeks.

UNH ends the regular season with the annual Battle for the Brice at Maine on Nov. 21.
