Coach’s Comment: “We graduated the majority of our skill kids, but we have four starters
returning on the offensive line, McNair (1st Team All Conference), Braley (1st Team All
Conference), Magoon and Schley. We have a strong competition going for the fifth spot
on the offensive line. The returning experience on the offensive line coupled with the return
of our starting QB, Sanborn (1st Team All Conference), should give us a leg up in the early
offensive install. Rousseau (2nd Team All Conference) also returns at RB and Stone
returns at WR. Defensively we have some huge holes to fill as we return only two players,
Magoon DE and Rousseau DB, but we should be very good up front as our returning
players played a ton of snaps during the season and could have easily been starting in
those spots. We will count on those players up front on both sides of the ball to carry us
early as we gain experience especially at LB and DB. We had another great off-season in
the weight room, speed camp and 7v7 but we all know football is different once the pads go
on. We need to focus on getting better each and every day, focusing on getting into the
playoffs while peaking at the right time.”
