UNH will play at Georgia Southern in 2017
- Updated: March 17, 2016
The University of New Hampshire’s 2017 schedule will include a game against Georgia Southern at Paulson Stadium in Statesboro, Ga.
The Wildcats and Eagles will play on Sept. 9 in what will be the second meeting between the programs. UNH beat Georgia Southern 27-24 at Paulson Stadium in the first round of the 2004 FCS playoffs.
Georgia Southern, an FBS program, became a full member of the Sun Belt Conference in 2015, when it beat Bowling Green 58-27 in the GoDaddy Bowl.
Before it made the move to the FBS level, Georgia Southern competed in the Southern Conference. The Eagles won six national championships at the FCS level.
