Power Poll: Bedford still No. 1

UNION LEADER/ESPN NH
POWER POLL

The top 10 high school football teams in New Hampshire, voted by the staffs of the New Hampshire Union Leader and ESPN New Hampshire, with record, first-place votes/points in parentheses, plus last week’s ranking:

1. Bedford, 3-0 (5/68), 1st

Bedford looked like the state’s best team in Friday night’s victory over Londonderry.

2. Merrimack, 2-1 (59), 2nd

The Tomahawks continue to overwhelm teams with offense.

3. Exeter, 3-0 (1/56), 3rd

The Blue Hawks are looking better each week.

4. Goffstown, 3-0 (1/50), 4th

Anybody still think Goffstown doesn’t belong in Division I?

5. Salem, 3-0 (46), 5th

The Blue Devils picked up a rare win at Pinkerton last Friday.

6. Windham, 3-0 (326), 6th

Windham looks like the team to beat in Division II.

7. Bishop Guertin, 3-0 (26), 9th

BG quarterback Sam Raitt should have went first in your fantasy draft.

8. John Stark, 3-0 (17), NR

Voters have finally figured it out: John Stark is very good.

9. Pinkerton, 1-2 (10), 7th

Another loss will drop the Astros out of the top 10.

10. Timberlane, 1-2 (7), 8th

Losses came against No. 1 Bedford and No. 4 Goffstown.
