New Hampton evens record

newhamptonJack Daley rushed for two touchdowns to lead the New Hampton School football team to a 24-6 triumph over Pingree on Saturday at Ipswich (Mass.) High School.

Daley’s second touchdown came on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter that helped the Huskies stretch their lead to 14-6. Daley also scored on a 2-yard run in the opening quarter after Pingree took a 6-0 lead. Javier Arrinda made both of his point-after kicks.

Daley finished with 134 yards rushing on 18 carries. New Hampton’s Jake Dulac rushed for 84 yards on 11 carries, and Ian Gobbi gained 69 yards on 12 rushing attempts.

New Hampton, which opened its season with a 43-18 loss to Belmont Hill, improved its record to 1-1. Pingree is also 1-1.

New Hampton will play Proctor Academy at home Friday night (6).
