Dulac carries New Hampton

Quarterback Jake Dulac ran for three touchdowns and passed for another to lead the New Hampton School football team to a 35-14 victory over Hyde on Saturday in Woodstock, Conn.

Dulac’s TDs came on runs of 5, 2 and 7 yards, and a 12-yard pass to Matt Narewski. Narewski’s touchdown came in the fourth quarter, shortly after Hyde pulled within seven points, 21-14.

New Hampton’s final TD came on a 24-yard run by Mike Donnelly. Javier Arrinda made each of his five point-after kicks.

New Hampton (4-2) led 7-6 after one quarter, 14-6 at halftime and 21-6 entering the fourth. Hyde dropped to 2-4 with the loss.

New Hampton’s Ian Gobbi rushed for a game-high 115 yards on 16 carries, and also caught two passes for 20 yards. Dulac finished the game with 65 yards rushing on 16 attempts, and completed 7 of 17 passes for 79 yards.

Nick Spaulding led New Hampton with 13 tackles. Donnelly had a team-high seven solo tackles, and 12 tackles overall.

New Hampton had a 314-204 advantage in total offense, including a 235-121 edge on the ground. Hyde was 3 of 15 on third down.
