Monadnock’s Patnode resigns

Linwood Patnode has resigned as Monadnock Regional’s varsity football coach.

Patnode became Monadnock’s head coach in 2010 and guided the Huskies to a 44-25 record in seven seasons. Monadnock won the Division V championship in 2012.

Monadnock went 9-1 in Division III last season. The Huskies were 8-0 during the regular season and lost to Stevens in the Division III semifinals.

Patnode may be interested in the varsity coaching position at Keene High School. Former Keene coach John Luopa resigned earlier this month. Patnode was an assistant at Keene before he became Monadnock’s head coach.

Including Monadnock and Keene, there are five NHIAA varsity jobs open. The others are Alvirne, Manchester West and Souhegan.
