Griffin has big day

Houston Texans starting tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz sat out Sunday’s game against Jacksonville with a concussion. In his absence, backup tight end Ryan Griffin came up with the best game of his NFL career.

Griffin, who played at Londonderry High School, was targeted eight times and caught every ball thrown his way during Houston’s 21-20 victory. In addition to his career-high eight receptions, Griffin had a career-high 85 receiving yards.

Griffin has caught 48 passes for 432 yards and two touchdowns this season.
