HILLSBORO-DEERING/HOPKINTON

Coach: Jay Wood (fourth season).
Division/Conference: Division II South.
2016 Record: 2-7 (failed to qualify for Division II playoffs).
Returning Starters on Defense: (6).
Returning Starters on Offense: (6).
Key Returnees: Caleb Yianakopolos (Jr-QB), Aidan Horne (Sr-FB/LB), Carter Quiet (Sr-WR/CB),
Jake Tomlinson (Sr-WR/S/Punter), Colby Quiet (Soph-TB/CB), Justin Learn (Sr-G/DE), Cody Gould
(Sr-G/LB), Kevin McCaffrey (Jr-T/DE).
Season Opener: Sept. 2 vs Manchester West.
Coach’s Comment: “ The Redhawks graduated 11 seniors, of which two were all-state players. Varsity experience will be lacking for many of the younger returning players, and new incoming freshman /upperclassmen. In our second year of varsity football, every team on the schedule is a challenge and the team to beat.”
