CHaD Practice: Day 4

Notes from the fourth day of practice for this year’s CHaD New Hampshire East/West All-Star Game, which will be played Saturday (1 p.m. kickoff) at Wildcat Stadium on the University of New Hampshire campus:

CHaD NOTES

San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman Andrew Lauderdale spoke to both teams for Monday’s practices. Lauderdale, who grew up in Concord, played at Trinity High School and at the University of New Hampshire. He also played in the 2012 CHaD East-West All-Star Game at UNH. Lauderdale, who played tight end in the CHaD Game, said what he remembers most about that day is dropping a pass near the sideline in front of UNH head coach Sean McDonnell. “Enjoy the game and the whole CHaD experience,” Lauderdale said. “Make friends from different schools and different areas. Keep in touch with them.” … East head coach Craig Kozens (Laconia) and West head coach Eric Brown (Concord) both said they plan to play most of their players primarily on one side of the ball, but each added that there will be a handful of players who they expect to play significantly on offense and defense. For the West, that group includes Goffstown’s Andrew Duval (defensive back/slot receiver), Merrimack Joe Eichman (defensive back/slot), Plymouth’s Garrett Macomber (running back/defensive end) and Bedford’s Thomas Norfleet (running back/defensive end). Kozens said St. Thomas wingback/defensive back Tim Bouchard, Dover split end/defensive back John Cantwell, Exeter tight end/linebacker Bobby Cliche and Exeter guard/defensive tackle Liam McIlveen are among the players he expects to rotate in on both sides of the ball. … The West roster includes the last two New Hampshire Gatorade Players of the Year (Macomber in 2016 and Duval in 2017). … The East will announce its captains tonight.
