Here’s what we know …

Here’s what we learned in Division I Friday night …

  • Merrimack (7-1) clinched the Division I West championship with its 32-24 victory over Nashua North and will be seeded no lower than No. 2 for the Division I quarterfinals. The Tomahawks will be the No. 1 seed in the North/West bracket if they defeat Bedford (7-0) next weekend.
  • Despite the loss to Merrimack, Nashua North (6-2) has secured a playoff berth.
  • Goffstown (4-3) will earn a playoff spot if it defeats Bishop Guertin on Saturday and Keene next week. Goffstown will win the tiebreaker against Manchester Central if both finish 6-3.
  • Central (5-3) must beat South next weekend and have Goffstown lose one of its two remaining games to make the playoffs.
  • Londonderry (7-1) will clinch the No. 1 seed in the South/East bracket if it defeats Exeter next weekend.
  • Winnacunnet (6-2) will be the No. 2 seed regardless if wins or loses against Pinkerton next Friday.
  • Pinkerton (5-2) will be eliminated from playoff contention if it loses to Winnacunnet and Windham defeats Portsmouth.
  • If Londonderry and Pinkerton both win, the Lancers and Astros will meet in the Division I semifinals.
  • Salem (6-2) will earn a playoff berth if it beats Dover next weekend.
  • Windham (5-3) will make the playoffs if the Jaguars beat Portsmouth and either Pinkerton loses to Winnacunnet OR Salem loses to Dover.
